Eat. Talk. Connect. —Boots, Barbecue & the American Story
July 30 @ 5:45 pm - 8:00 pm

What comes to mind when you think of American culture?
Join us for an evening that goes beyond the barbecue to explore the stories, traditions, and communities that have shaped this uniquely American experience.
The evening begins with a guided artist talk and gallery walk featuring renowned Richmond artist Alfonso Perez, whose work invites us to reflect on identity, and the connections that unite us.
Around the dinner table, our host, K Alferio, President of the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, will share insights into the rich traditions of cowboy culture and lead a lively conversation about its history, influence, and place in American life.
We’ll enjoy an authentic barbecue dinner prepared by the Smoky Mug, then wrap up the evening the best way we know how, with music, dancing, and new friendships.
Come hear new perspectives, and build meaningful connections across differences.
